
The Latin Recording Academy® has announced the nominees for the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®, the preeminent international honor celebrating excellence in Latin music, and the only accolade awarded by music industry professionals. The Latin Academy’s membership body of music creators, who represent all genres and creative disciplines—including recording artists, songwriters, producers, recording engineers and mixers—vote during the Awards Process.
The 26th Annual Latin Grammy Awards are heading to Las Vegas after a three-year hiatus in Los Angeles. The awards show will be held Nov. 13 in Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, and broadcast live on Univision.
This year’s list of top nominees include Bad Bunny (12), Edgar Barrera (10), Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso (10), Rafa Arcaute (eight), Natalia Lafourcade (eight) and Federico Vindver (eight).
Local merengue stars Eddy Herrera (Novato Apostador) and Milly Quezada (Live, Vol 1) have been nominated in the Best Merengue/Bachata award. Last year, Merengue/Bachata composer/performer Juan Luis Guerra won the top winner in number of Latin Grammy awards, including record of the year (Mambo 23).
This year, guitar player and composer Vicente García received nominations in the Album of the Year award (Puñito de Yocahú) and Best Song Composer (Quisqueya).
Singer Techy Fatule is back with a bang and is nominated to the Best Tropical Song award (Cariñito).
Tokischa gets on the list competing in the Best Urban Interpretation/Urban Fusion Award for her collaboration with Nathy Peluso (De Maravisha).
J Noa and Vakero are nominated in the Best Rap/Hip Hop award for their duo (Sudor y Tinta).
