The Toronto Blue Jays delivered a game 6 to be remembered at the packed Rogers Centre on Sunday, 19 October 2025 in the continuing of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) playing against the Seattle Mariners. The ALCS will be decided on Monday, 20 October, in game 7. The ALCS is now tied 3-3. The Blue Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-2 on Sunday, 19 October 2025. The teams will now play game 7 again at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Dominican Vladimir Guerrero homerun padded the score as the Blue Jays fought on for life.
MLB described as “deafening” the excitement within Rogers Centre as Toronto staved off elimination.
The Blue Jays haven’t been to a World Series since 1993 and the Mariners never have. The LA Dodgers already won the right to the MLB 2025 playoffs.
While Vladimir Guerrero gets the most attention, the Seattle Mariners have the most Dominican players with star outfielder Julio Rodriguez and infielder Jorge Polanco. Other Dominicans on that team are pitcher Gregory Santos, Eduard Bazardo and Carlos Vargas.
