With Tropical Storm Melissa behind us, a Friday, 31 October 2025 Aguilas del Cibao and Tigres del Licey game packed the Quisqueya Ball Park. The Aguilas spoiled the night for the capital city fans when that much-awaited game ended 3-0.
The Aguilas are leading the Professional Winter Baseball Championship followed by the Tigres del Escogido Lions and the Toros del Este, both 3.5 games behind.
The 2025-2026 championship got off to a slow start as intense rains of recent weeks forced several cancellations.
