A group called Check Point Research is calling on folks to be very careful about purchases at online retail platforms, especially as Black Friday approaches.
According to the research group, as the most hectic shopping day of the year comes closer, fake websites purporting to be legitimate, such as Amazon, Nacional Supermarkets, Zara, and other popular retailers appear on computer screens.
These are attempts to obtain personal, economic and social data, as well as money. The web scammers are very good at disguising their malware and look quite legitimate.
During the first weeks of November over 300 new websites appeared on the web, and fully 10% of them were connected to Black Friday ad were classified as dangerous. Be cautious.
