The Ministry of Foreign Relations has officially confirmed that the Dominican Republic will not authorize the landing of combat military airplanes from the United States at its national airports, including the Las Américas International Airport and the San Isidro Air Force Base.

This official confirmation, provided directly to the news outlet Noticias SIN, arrives amid ongoing discussions about aerial security and national sovereignty within the Dominican Republic.

The statement is a follow up to declarations by President Luis Abinader upon the visit of US Secretary of War (Defense) Pete Hegseth. President Luis Abinader had said that each flight required pre authorization by the Dominican authorities.
