Miss Universe visits and includes photoshoot in Colonial City to promote Santo Domingo

Miss Universe 2025, Fatima Bosch of Mexico is visiting the Dominican Republic after making a first stop in Guatemala on her first world tour. She arrived on 26 January and will be in the country until 3 February 2026.

The reigning Miss Universe arrived to Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo on board an Arajet flight and has an agenda centered on social advocacy and cultural exchange. Her visit coincides with the 70th anniversary of the Miss Dominican Republic Organization, and the naming of the first Miss Dominican Republic.

She was welcomed in the Ambassadors’ Lounge by national director Magalis Febles and the current Miss Dominican Republic Universe, Jennifer Ventura.

Central to Bosch’s visit is her commitment to autism awareness, a cause that resonates with her personal journey. The 25-year-old fashion designer has been vocal about her own experiences growing up with ADHD and dyslexia, challenges she says fueled her resilience and led to her advocacy for inclusive education.

“Beyond the crown, I seek to inspire, to heal, and to transform lives,” Bosch previously stated regarding her humanitarian platform.

Her Dominican itinerary includes high-impact collaborations with local institutions:
Motivational Forum on Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia: Bosch will serve as a keynote volunteer on Thursday, 29 January, at 9am in the Aula Magna of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).
Collaborative effort: The event is organized in partnership with Azul Podcast, the UASD Faculty of Medicine, and Rector Editrudis Beltrán, featuring a panel of international medical specialists.

Celebrating heritage and fashion
Beyond her philanthropic work, the “Queen of Hearts” will engage with the country’s vibrant cultural scene. She is slated to be the guest of honor at the Spring-Summer collection debut of designer Giannina Azar, held at the Kimpton Las Mercedes hotel and produced by fashion industry veteran Sócrates Mckinney.

To further promote Dominican tourism, Bosch will participate in a professional photo series across the Colonial City of Santo Domingo, highlighting the UNESCO World Heritage site’s architecture and history.
