The 2026 Bonao Carnival officially began its Sunday parade season on 1 February 2026. The carnival has the support of Mayor Eberto Núñez, Monsenor Nouel province governor Adela Tejada, and Bonao legislators, Héctor Acosta Orlando Martínez.
The parades will continue on 8, 15 and 22 Sunday. There will be an Independence Day Finale on 27 February 2026. The Grand Finale is set for Sunday, 8 March 2026. This final event traditionally will feature guest groups representing the best from other provinces across the country.
The Bonao carnival festivities are organized by the Bonao Carnival Organizing Committee (COCABO).
The celebration takes place primarily in the area around Parque Duarte, featuring the city’s iconic Macaraos and famous troupes such as Los Tucanes, Los Indios, and Los Leones.
