
During the FITUR 2026 Madrid tourism trade fair, the renowned Italian brand Tonino Lamborghini announced a strategic partnership to develop major branded tower projects in the Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, marking its official entry into the Caribbean market. The projects are being developed by Dominican Republic based Duna Development Group. Tonino Lamborghini hospitality portfolio with the new partnership with Archipelago International.
The expansion begins with the flagship Tonino Lamborghini Residences and Hotels by Huxley in the residential and hotel enclave of Cap Cana, in southern Punta Cana. Located in the marina area of Cap Cana, the project is designed to mirror the aerodynamic lines and carbon-fiber aesthetic of the iconic Italian brand. The 53-floor tower will offer panoramic views of Juanillo Beach and Indigo Bay. The number of floors of the tower will make the buildings the tallest in the Dominican Republic.
A 2,500-square-meter leisure area including a full-service spa, a 300-square-meter indoor pool, a rooftop infinity pool, and state-of-the-art fitness centers. High-end conference facilities and a grand ballroom capable of hosting over 400 guests are part of the conception.
While the official announcement was made on 27 January 2026, during FITUR, the projects are currently in the development phase. The Cap Cana project would lead the timeline as the first to break ground. A second tower is planned to be developed at an undisclosed address in the upscale Piantini area of Santo Domingo. The company press content says the towers will redefine the Dominican Republic’s luxury real estate and hospitality landscape over the coming years.
