
Approximately 1,655 MWp from 20 projects (19 solar and 1 wind) successfully qualified for the next phase of the (tender EDES-LPI-01-2024 or EDES-LP-NGR-01-2025). For the first time, renewable systems are being required to incorporate Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with at least four hours of autonomy.
Some 12 renewable projects were excluded, representing 1,027.10 MW. The largest of these are the Las Parras Energy (246.40 MWp), the Pimentel Energy (119.60 MWp), the Montecristi Solar Fase II (105.60 MWp, the Parque Fotovoltaico Caribe Farms Solar I (85.00 MWp) and the Helios Solar Park (92.40 MWp).
The evaluation of financial offers is scheduled for 7 April 2026, with the final awarding expected between 27 April and 25 May 2026.
