So far this 2026, the weather has been good in the Dominican Republic, with the intense tropical heat kept away by frequent systems from the north. Especially this past week, those in the DR have been enjoying relatively cool temperatures that make it unnecessary to use air conditioning. Gusty winds have prevailed recently.
Weatherman Jean Suriel says the pleasant temperatures will continue as a cold front moves south from Canada and the United States to the Caribbean.
