The former director of the new prison model, Roberto Santana says that Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez has committed a series of errors that violate the protocol established at the new prison model and agreements signed with the United Nations. Santana said that Rodríguez when making exceptions for the eight Odebrecht prisoners in the jail protocol.
Santana says that if these errors are not addressed, the new model could be affected and the hard-earned international credibility of the system compromised.
Among the oversights, he mentioned the privileges awarded to the Odebrecht arrested including government officers entering the jail in SUVs, the visit out of the visit schedules by relatives with food, clothing and the not using of the jail uniform of the prisoners.
