The Accounts Chamber of the Dominican Republic has been auditing the concessions given by the Ministry of Public Works to the Brazilian company Odebrecht.
The work has been ongoing for three weeks, following a request by Attorney General, Jean Alain Rodriguez back in April 2017 to see if the works were overpriced.
According to Gonzalo Castillo, Minister of Public Works and as published in Diario Libre newspaper, between 2001 and 2014, Public Works awarded 17 projects to Odebrecht.
