Another prosecutor accused of sexual harassment in Samana
After Robert Francis Justo Bobadilla, was removed from the position of prosecutor general in Samaná for sexual harassment, husband and wife Noe Francisco Cortorreal and Denisse Henriquez Vanderhorts have come forward in Samana to claim another case of sexual harassment. The couple said they were inspired by the removal of Samana chief prosecutor by the Inspectoría de la Procuraduría General de la República on 1 August 2017. Seven women, including four employees, accused him of sexual harassment, in that case were defended pro-bono by lawyer Luz Diaz.
The Cortorreal-Henríquez couple deposited a claim at the Inspectoría de la Procuraduría General de la República against Isidro Poché López, adjunct prosecutor accusing him of sexual harassment and extortion. They say that Poché López on the telephone and in person had extorted them alledgedly for RD$500,000-RD$1 million. The couple’s lawyer, Caonabo Martínez said Isidro Poché López was in charge of investigating a case in which Cortorreal was involved and had offered to file the case if Henríquez had sex with him.
