Four supposed attackers who were being sought by members of the National Police were all shot to death by the police in Higuey on Sunday, 27 August 2017.
The victims were Jairon Mieses, alias Lairon, as well as the so called Maiki and El Tro, and one other who is so far unnamed.
They were being sought accused of being involved in the murder of several police officers around the country and according to some versions when confronted with the police a shootout ensued.
One of them supposedly was shot in a cemetery, another two in the Los Rosales neighborhood and the final one in the center of Higuey.
