Bolivia air connection

The president of the Civil Aviation Board Luis Ernesto Camilo announced that Boliviana de Aviación is interested in starting flights to the Casa de Campo / La Romana International Airport (LRM) in November 2017. The airline is owned by the government of Bolivia and operates flights to cities in Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Peru, and the United States.

The airline would be taking advantage of the open skies policy of the Dominican Republic. Airline executives say Boliviana is interested in operating one or two flights a week, with the option of expanding the frequencies depending on the demand. The airline would offer connections for travelers from Buenos Aires in Argentina and Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Boliviana de Aviación officers Hugo Estrada, chief of planning and marketing, Andres Rodríguez, chief of strategic planning and Julio Andrade, chief of the legal department visited the CAB accompanied by Milciades Castillo, in charge of operations and logistics at the La Romana International Airport.
