The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) reported the seizure of 150 packages of cocaine by its agents in two communities in Samana this weekend. The confiscations were made with the support of the Armada (Navy) and the Public Ministry. Sources told El Nacional, the agents were following leads after 229 packages of cocaine were seized in a farm in Hato Mayor and another 345 packages were intercepted in a truck on Duarte Highway.
Overall, in the past week the DNCD has reported seizing of 742 packages of cocaine nationwide.
As reported in Samana three persons were arrested, in Hato Mayor 2 and on the Duarte Highway one.
