Including games up to 19 November 2017, the San Pedro de Macorís team, Estrellas Orientales, is now again leading the 2017-2018 Dominican Winter Professional Baseball Championship with 16 wins and 9 losses. Over the weekend, three games were cancelled due to the intense rains.
The Gigantes del Cibao from San Francisco de Macorís are now close behind with 16 wins and 10 losses. The Aguilas Cibaeñas from Santiago are third with 14 wins and 12 losses. The capital city teams of Leones del Escogido (12 wins, 15 losses) and Tigres del Licey (11 wins and 16 losses) are in 4th and 5th place. The Toros del Este of La Romana have not yet found a way to move up from the last place and now post 10 wins and 17 losses.
