Lenin Ramirez has clarified that he is the manager of bachata singer Anthony Santos and Raul Gil, under arrest in New York, is but an artistic promoter. He said that Gil worked on event organizations with numerous artists from many countries and musical genres and in that capacity worked with Santos.
Ramirez distanced Santos from any wrongdoings attributed to Gil. He said that in 30 years of Santos impeccable career he has worked with many entrepreneurs and promoters, including José Tejada, Roberto Almonte, Jesus Araujo, Felix Cabrera, among others.
He said they are sorry for the situation Gil is undergoing. He is subject to deportation to the Dominican Republic. He said that Gil is a professional that has proven capable of staging excellent events.
