
The Ministry of the Interior and Police reminded all in the Dominican Republic that the curfew on sale of alcohol is back in effect. Alcohol cannot be sold from 12 midnight Sunday to Thursday and from 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. There are some exceptions, especially in hotels.
The curfew had been lifted for the Christmas and New Year festivities from 10 December 2017 to 8 January 2018. Now all bars, discotheques, stores, billiard halls and other such establishment must now return to their authorized hours for selling alcohol as established by the law.
