Rescue service agencies have been looking for a minor who disappeared in the waters of the municipality of Cabarete, Puerto Plata on Sunday, 7 January 2018 at around midday.
Marcos Abreu, aged 16 was swimming in the ocean with his friends and then disappeared. He lived at Kilometer 13 of the Duarte Highway in the National District. Civil defense, the Red Cross and a unit from Ambar Rescue continue to search for the teenager but so far he has not been found.
