
The heavy rainstorms over the weekend brought more garbage to the southern coastline of the city of Santo Domingo. Poor families that live beside the Ozama River have the practice of taking advantage of the rains to get rid of their trash in the river, as reported in El Dia. They complain the city government is not prompt in collecting the garbage.
