The executive vice president of the CDEEE, Radhames Segura said that he plans to sue controversial government minister Miguel Mejia for statements he made to Listin Diario that the tender process for the installation of 1,200 megawatts in coal-fired generation was tricked-up (amanado.) Segura said that he was giving Mejia time to present the proof to back his accusation; otherwise he would take him to court. Mejia had pointed to serious irregularities in the tender that in his opinion were reason enough to annul the tender. Mejia responded that he would not act legally, until receiving a legal summon from Segura.
