
Secretary of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), the ruling political party, Miriam Cabral, has clarified that in the open primaries, all of those in the Central Electoral Court (JCE) voting register would have the right to vote. She dismissed the claims of ex-president Leonel Fernandez who said that only PLD members would vote, along with new voters.
Cabral explained that during the week the members of the PLD commission who discussed the issue would take a letter to the JCE confirming that they would use the total voting register and not the register of PLD members only.
