Carmina Burana cantata at the National Theater

This Wednesday, 31 October 2018 at 8:30pm, the National Symphony Orchestra presents the final concert of the orchestra’s fall season. Soprano Paola Gonzalez and Colombian tenor Luis Carlos Luque take the stage for the cantata Carmina Burana with the orchestra for the opening of the concert. Carmina Burana is the first of the trilogy of cantatas by German composer Carl Orff – Carmina Burana, Catulli Carmina and Trionfo di Afrodite – that will be performed on the evening.

Maestro Jose Antonio Molina will be conducted the orchestra. Also performing is Puerto Rican baritone Ricardo Rivera. The National Choir will be directed by Elionai Medina, and will include a children’s choir.
