President Danilo Medina named Susana Gautreau de Windt as deputy minister of Energy & Mines. Previously she was legal director to the same ministry. Medina also named Cooperstown Hall of Fame’s Vladimir Guerrero as goodwill ambassador. In other appointments, he confirmed Ramón Núñez Ramírez, César Nicolás Penson, Manuel García Arévalo, George Manuel Hazoury, José Ricardo Rojas León and named Jaime David Fernández Mirabal as the members of the Monetary Board. This by Decree 392-18.
He also named Víctor Guillermo Librán Baez as consul general in Havana, Cuba, replacing Cynthia Vicioso, who had been appointed in May 2009 by Decree 371-09.
By Decree 391-18, Medina also named Joan Manuel Alcántara Javier as adjunct attorney general, replacing Sharon Vanessa Cabral Sánchez.
