Yesterday, the National Commission for Commercial Negotiations (CNNC) began the consultation process to hear the private sector’s expectations and questions about the Economic Association Agreement with the European Union, which the DR is negotiating together with Caricom. Until next Thursday, several local productive and industrial sub-sectors will present their goals and reservations about the agreement, which is due to come into effect in 2008, as reported by El Caribe.
