The People’s Republic of China delivered 40 firetrucks to the Dominican government. PRC Ambassador Zhang Run said that the donation is the first international cooperation project implemented by China after the establishment of diplomatic relations on 1 May 2018. The fire engines are to be assigned to support the nationwide 911 Emergency System. Receiving the fire engine trucks for the Dominican government was Presidency Minister Gustavo Montalvo, who heads the 911 Emergency System. Also present were Economy Minister Isidoro Santana and the director of the 911 Emergency System, Vicente Mota Medina.
