Donni Santana / Diario Libre
Former ambassador Donni Santana was sent to a year pre-trial custody at the San Pedro de Macoris jail. He is accused of raping his 14-year old step daughter. Former National District prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso told the press that the mother of the girl is also under investigation. Santana was fired last year from his position as director of the National Border Council once the case went public. He had held the position since 2015.
