Dr. Glorinil Mercedes Germán, sixth year resident at the Residencia Nacional de Cirugía Plástica, Reconstructiva y Estética (RENACIP) of the Hospital Salvador B. Gautier, a public hospital, in the National District won first place for her paper presented at the Plastic Surgery Residents contest organized as part of the activities of the XII Congreso de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva “Unidos en Ciencia y Confraternidad” organized by the Federación Ibero-Latinoamericana de Cirugía Plástica (FILACP), from 20-24 February 2019 in Panamá.
She presented the paper “Variations of lipid fractions in patients submitted to abdominoplasty at the Hospital Dr. Salvador B. Gautier, from January to May 2018.
The RENACIP is the only plastic surgery school in the Dominican Republic.
The next congress will take place in the Dominican Republic in 2020. She received a cash prize and the cost of participating in the 2020 congress.
