PRM requests separate senate and deputy election ballots

The opposition party, Revolutionary Modern Party (PRM) is requesting that the Central Electoral Board (JCE) allow for separate elections at the legislative level. This means that the votes of the winning deputy not count for the election of the senator as occurred in the 2016 election. The PRM argues this amendment would be in compliance with Art. 92 of the Electoral Regime Law 15-19.
