Foreign Relations Minister Miguel Vargas and the Cuban Ambassador Milagros Carina Soto Agüero have signed an agreement for cooperation in the areas of technical and scientific matters, education and culture to formulate and execute programs, projects and actions in priority areas for both countries.
The signing of the agreement took place in the Ministry of Public Relations prior to political consultations aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with Caribbean countries and especially Cuba.
Ambassador Soto Agüero thanked Minister Vargas for the agreement and ratifying the friendship between her country and the Dominican Republic: “You can continue to count on Cuba so that our relations continue to grow,” the diplomat stated.
Vargas said that there is a special bond between the two countries, due to history and culture.
