US Congressman Adriano Espaillat has gone on record saying that the letter US Senator Bob Menendez sent to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo asking him to use “all diplomatic tools” to prevent a second re-election of the president of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina. Dominican-born Espaillat said that Menéndez has a say and everyone should have a say.
He explained that the Dominican Constitution is a sacred document that embodies the laws of the nation and the aspirations of a people, so it must always be respected.
