Three Dominican students placed third in the Huawei ICT Competition 2018-2019 Global Final that ended 26 May 2019 in Shenzhen, China. These were Emanuel Marcial Medina, Leandro Álvarez Méndez and Braian Antonio Santos Torres, from PUCMM-Santo Tomás de Aquino, ITLA and PUCMM-Santiago, respectively.
Since last June the competition has attracted more than 100,000 students from over 1,600 colleges and universities in 61 countries. The students participated in the final competing against 49 teams from 30 countries.
The Dominican team was sponsored by Huawai and the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel).
