The two-month long superior men’s basketball tournament began on Wednesday, 5 June 2019 at the Palacio de los Deportes with a first win by San Lázaro over Los Prados.
To encourage fans to go to the games, the government announced that Omsa buses would be offering free transportation. Service will be available to get fans to the venue in time for the 7pm games and on weekends for the 5pm and 7pm games.
OMSA said that bus units will be stationed in the basketball clubs, Mauricio Báez, current champions, Rafael Barias, San Carlos, San Lázaro, Los Prados, El Millón, Huellas del Siglo and Bameso, to ensure fans get to the games.
