
Minister of the Environment Angel Estévez received a delegation from the World Bank, headed by the regional director for the Caribbean, Tahseen Sayed Khan. As reported, they discussed cooperation for projects and financial support from the World Bank for the management of solid wastes, mainly the problem of plastics contamination.
Also present at the meeting was the World Bank representative for the Dominican Republic, Alessandro Legrottaglie.
The representatives of the World Bank said that they were interested in deepening the cooperation with the Dominican government to develop programs to safeguard the natural resources of the country and the environment.
