The Ministry of Defense (MIDE) signed a cooperation agreement with the National Energy Commission (CNE). The CNE commits to provide solar panels to ensure power at 70 military barracks in the border area, and other detachments and bases of the Army, Armada (Navy) and Air Force.
Defense Minister Rubén Darío Paulino Sem signed for the MIDE and CNE director, Angel Canó for the energy commission.
The parties further agree that the equipment donated by the CNE shall become the property of MIDE. The MIDE will be responsible for future maintenance.
