Dominican volleyball team member, 27-year old Brenda Castillo was operated on Monday, 19 August in her left shoulder related to a fracture in her left arm. Orthopedist Cesar Roque says the operation was carried out to accelerate the athlete’s recovery from the car accident on Sunday, 18 August 2019 in Samaná. He estimated a recovery period of four months. Castillo is a world class libero. She was on vacation after the team won gold in the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru.
