
Members of the National Business Council visited the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and met with the judges. The business representatives expressed their interest and concern with what is happening, primarily declarations of widespread fraud in the primary.
As reported in Diario Libre, the business people met for around two hours with the board. At the end of the meeting, Cesar Dargam, executive vice president said that efforts need to be concentrated on ensuring the 2020 election come out well. “The most important thing is that this process of organizing February and May elections can take place in an appropriate way. We must generate trust and for that all actors must do their part to generate that trust, act transparently, give explanations. We must concentrate now so that the elections go very well,” he said.
