On Sunday, 10 November 2019, even though it was his 68th birthday, President Medina visited Villa Los Almacigos continuing with his traditional Sunday “surprise visit” to the countryside. Villa los Almacigos is in the province of Santiago Rodriguez, in the northwest of the country.
There he visited small cattle farmers and agreed to back them with small wells, solar panels, pasture and the acquisition of a tractor, a truck and artificial insemination equipment. The project will assist the 52 members of the cattle farming and milk-producing association.
