Best known as an organizer of physician strikes at public hospitals, Dr. Waldo Ariel Suero was elected to head the Dominican Medical Guild (CMD) again. This will be his fifth non-consecutive term at the CMD. He won with 70% of the vote. Suero said that he is open to talks with the government but will not give in to dilatory tactics.
