Journalist Marino Zapete denounced he is being harassed, intimidated and persecuted after he denounced alleged corruption of the sister of the Attorney General and ruling Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Gonzalo Castillo.

He accused Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez Sanchez of executing an aggressive and intimidating campaign against him. Zapete presented in a television program, contracts signed by the sister of the Attorney General, Maybeth Virginia Rodríguez Sanchez for Grupo Asimra, SRL and former Minister of Public Works Gonzalo Castillo, in violation of the provisions of the Law of Public Purchases and Contracts.
