Three provinces under alert

The current weather conditions are somewhat unstable, due to a tropical wave moving over the northwest of the country. The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecasts rains and thunderstorms for the north, northeast, eastern coast and the central mountain area.
There are three provinces under alert for flooding and mudslides, which are Puerto Plata, Espaillat (Moca) and María Trinidad Sánchez (Cabrera and Nagua).

The temperatures will continue to be pleasant due to the time of year and a fresh northeasterly wind.
