The ruling Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) is announcing it will parade on Saturday, 14 December 2019, in the afternoon to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the political party. A caravan will parade through capital city streets. The announcement was made by Reinaldo Pared Perez, secretary-general of the party.
The caravan will be head by President Danilo Medina and with him PLD presidential candidate Gonzalo Castillo. The caravan starts at 3pm from the corner of Av. Ortega y Gasset and Av. Nicolas de Ovando in northern Santo Domingo. It then moves south by way of Av. Duarte, Calle Duarte, Colonial City, Ciudad Nueva to end at the Malecon of Santo Domingo.
The Political Committee of the PLD announced the municipal candidates for the province of Santo Domingo and the National District would be sworn in as part of the 46th anniversary activities on Saturday. Pared Perez says the event marks the end to the party activities for this year.
