More than 120,000 persons visited Damajagua Water Falls in Puerto Plata. The nature site includes a trail on land and water, with 27 large and small waterfalls. It is a national monument with a well-marked trail, clean solar energy, and footbridges. Trip Advisor lists the falls as the number one place to visit on the north coast. The excursion is a favorite with cruise ship visitors.
