JCE says it will wait for rulings before printing municipal ballots

The president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), Julio César Castaños Guzmán, says the electoral organization will wait for the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to decide on pending matters regarding political party requests before ordering the printing of the ballots. The JCE has made the preliminary ballots for candidates available to the political parties for revision.

In 17 municipalities and the National District, the automated voting system used in the 6 October 2019 primaries will be used instead of the printed ballots. The JCE has scheduled the printing of the ballots on 11-12 January.
