The 7th edition of the Carrefour 10K race is set for 23 February 2020. The race is a benefit for the Children Cancer Foundation (FACCI). Gerardo García, operations director for Carrefour, said that the race starts at Downtown Center on Av. Nuñez de Cáceres corner Rómulo Betancourt. The runners will compete from there to Km 5 of the Mirador del Sur Park avenue.

Registration is RD$950 of which RD$200 goes to the FACCI. Participants get a T-shirt and promotional items from the sponsors. There will be refreshment stands every 2.5 km, digital timing, and emergency assistance points. Digesset is assisting to keep the runners safe.
The 10K Carrefour is designed for all levels. It is open to “all who want to contribute to a good cause and participate in a fun event”. Prizes are RD$15,000, RD$10,000 and RD$7,000 for the first to third places in both women and men’s categories. There will be categories for ages 29 and younger, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and older than 70. The winners in these categories will receive cash awards of RD$3,000, RD$2,200 and RD$1,500 each.
