The Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic and several other business organizations presented the new NUVI alliance seeks to turn what would have been garbage into raw materials, with savings of natural resources and energy. The alliance promotes technological innovation, competitiveness and environmental protection. The Dominican Republic produces around 16,000 tons of waste every day and only 5% of these are recycled.
