The Passport Agency (DGP) is now issuing a new passport booklet with 3D fluorescence for increased security and duration. The new passport is resistant to folding, moisture and high temperatures.
The new Dominican passport incorporates technology that is part of the most secure passports in the world. Its pages contain images of the fathers of the country (Juan Pablo Duarte, Matías Ramón Mella and Francisco del Rosario Sánchez), the flag and shield, the Monument to the Restorers, merengue, the national bird and the flower of Bayahibe.
The passports are sourced from Thales Group (Gemalto), a global leader in digital identity and security.
