Punta Cana Carnival is regarded as one of the best in the Dominican Republic. The carnival parades the Boulevard Primero de Noviembre in Puntacana Village. This year it will take place on 7 and 8 February 2020. Admission is free.
The Punta Cana Carnival organizers invite a selection of the best carnival groups to the parade, making the event relatively short and very attractive. The organizers go all out to support their own carnival groups: Las Musas de Punta Cana, Los Tres Caras and Puntacana International School.
In its 13th year, the event opens Friday, 7 February 2020 at 6pm with the parading of eight exclusive Punta Cana groups. Also on the program for that evening is the performance of Latin Grammy-award winning Los Ilegales.
On Saturday, 8 February, the grand parade will take place as of 3:30pm with a selection of 20 Dominican and international carnival groups and floats. A concert with Grammy Award-winner Milly Quezada will close the evening.
