President Danilo Medina was in Miches, El Seibo province, on Thursday, 30 January 2020 for the formal opening of the 335-room Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda. Club Med has announced its goal to keep much of the ecological essence of this new area.
Tourism Minister Francisco Javier García highlighted that the opening of the hotel in Miches marks the start of the development of El Seibo as a tourism destination. The area has beautiful mountains and beaches.
